CUAlternative is a group of volunteer students who plan programs throughout the year in conjunction with the Office of the Dean of Students that are both educational and fun. CUAlternative collaborates with student organizations and departments to present on topics such as alcohol and other drug use and abuse and sexual assault. Through interactive programs and passive educational initiatives, CUAlternative provides an opportunity for students to understand, respect and openly discuss these topics. The members of CUAlternative are also responsible for planning programs that correspond to Orientation Extended, National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week, National Drunk and Drugged Driving Month, Safe Spring Break Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
